Marie Claire Boyes, Director of Sales for Marine and Offshore at C Teleport, was recently a guest on the Maritime Software Hub The People Podcast. She discussed how automating crew travel can help managers work more efficiently.
In the interview hosted by Callum Beaumont, Marie Claire explains how C Teleport’s automated travel platform assists crew travel managers in booking flights and hotels.
Instead of spending time emailing back and forth with travel agents, managers can access multiple fare options instantly through the platform. This includes marine airfares and low-cost airlines, helping them find the best options for their crew.
“There’s a lot of back and forth going on at the moment,” Marie Claire says. “This doesn’t necessarily mean they are acquiring the best rates either. They think they are, but doing all this actually costs them money as well. They spend a lot of time doing these kinds of things when they could be doing something more important. They could have it done in seconds on our system.”
Marie Claire highlights that tasks which used to take much longer can now be completed in seconds on C Teleport. One major reason for this is the platform’s ability to integrate with any HR or crewing software, keeping all information in one place. By reducing manual processes, managers can focus on more important responsibilities.
